The association in brief
Visit Tornio Haparanda Ry is an association promoting cross-border tourism, bringing together tourism operators in the Tornio and Haparanda region.
Our aim is to strengthen the attractiveness of the area, support local businesses and offer visitors an unforgettable experience at the crossroads of two cultures.

Together towards the future
Tourism cooperation between Tornio and Haparanda continues to grow stronger as Visit TornioHaparanda serves as the region’s shared tourism marketing platform. The City of Tornio, the City of Haparanda and local tourism businesses work together to strengthen the appeal of the border region and increase its international visibility.
Founded in 2024, the Finnish-Swedish tourism association brings together local operators with the aim of increasing awareness of the Tornio–Haparanda region both domestically and internationally. Joint marketing efforts support the growth of tourism, strengthen the region’s competitiveness and create new opportunities for local businesses.
Tornio and Haparanda form a unique twin city where two countries, two languages and two cultures come together to create a distinctive travel destination. Together, we are developing a year-round, sustainable and internationally attractive destination for the future.
