Get ready for a new way to experience the north! ❄️✨
In Toranda, where the River Torne meets the Bothnian Bay, a new year-round experience is taking shape.
It brings together water, ice, warmth and the calm rhythm of Nordic nature.
The project develops all-season water and ice activities in the River Torne and the Baltic Sea, while creating a floating wellness and sauna centre in the Toranda area. Visitors will be able to float in the river or the sea, relax in saunas and warm pools, and slow down in an environment where nature is present in every season.
Winter silence, summer light, icy water and warm steam come together here. This is not just something to do, but a place to pause, recharge and reconnect with the Arctic borderland.
The project is supported by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for North Ostrobothnia and will be developed between May 2025 and June 2026.
