The brewing industry started in Tornio during the Tsarist era has been stifled by prohibition laws, world wars and, later, by big bumps in the road.
They came close, but didn’t quite succeed. You can’t just root out a brewery from Tornio — its roots run deep in the northern soil.
Lappish perseverance will continue and Finland will continue to enjoy good beer.
